CABY to Host Women's Dialogue on Youth Drug Abuse and Addiction
The Cameroon Association for the Betterment of Youth (CABY) has announced a special Women's Dialogue Forum aimed at addressing the growing challenge of youth drug abuse and addiction within communities across Cameroon.
Scheduled for Friday, 26 June 2026, at 6:00 PM at the CABY Headquarters in Jouvence, opposite Hotel Diplomat, the event will bring together women from diverse backgrounds, including mothers, mentors, educators, community leaders, and youth advocates, to discuss practical solutions to one of the most pressing social issues affecting young people today.
According to CABY, the forum seeks to create a platform where women can share experiences, exchange ideas, and develop collective strategies to protect and guide the younger generation. The organization believes that women play a crucial role in shaping the values, behavior, and future of young people and are therefore essential stakeholders in the fight against substance abuse.
Drug abuse among youth continues to be a growing concern, with increasing reports of addiction affecting educational achievement, family stability, mental health, and community development. Through this dialogue, CABY hopes to empower women with knowledge, resources, and collaborative networks that will strengthen prevention and intervention efforts.
